Organic Rose & Flower Fertilizer 4-7-5
A premium, slow-release blend of organic meals and volcanic minerals designed to produce vibrant blooms, deep colors, and healthy soil biology. Perfect for roses, flowering perennials, and bloom-heavy vegetables.
WHY GROWERS CHOOSE THIS FORMULA
🌹 Bloom-Focused NPK
Higher phosphorus (7%) specifically targets bud formation and flower size, while preventing leggy growth from excess nitrogen.
🦠 Feeds Soil Biology
Unlike synthetic salts, organic meals feed earthworms, mycorrhizae, and beneficial microbes that build long-term soil health.
🐾 Slow-Release & Gentle
Won't burn roots or shock transplants. Nutrients release gradually over 4-6 weeks as soil microbes break down organic matter.
🌋 70+ Trace Minerals
Azomite volcanic ash provides micronutrients most soils lack—enhancing flower color, fragrance, and disease resistance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q Will this fertilizer burn my plants?
No. Unlike synthetic "blue powder" fertilizers that can chemically burn roots, this is a slow-release organic formula. Nutrients become available gradually as soil microbes break down the organic matter over 4-6 weeks. It's safe for even delicate transplants when used as directed.
Q Can I use this on vegetables?
Absolutely! This formula is excellent for flowering vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, squash, and cucumbers—any crop that needs blooms to produce fruit. The high calcium content from Bone Meal also helps prevent blossom end rot.
For leafy greens (lettuce, spinach, kale), you may want a higher-nitrogen fertilizer like Blood Meal instead.
Q Why are my rose leaves turning yellow?
Yellowing leaves (chlorosis) often indicate nitrogen deficiency, iron deficiency, or pH imbalance. This fertilizer addresses all three:
- Nitrogen from Feather Meal and Alfalfa Meal corrects pale, yellow-green foliage
- Iron and trace minerals from Azomite address interveinal chlorosis
- Natural acidity helps maintain the 6.0-6.5 pH roses prefer
If yellowing persists, test your soil pH. Roses struggle in alkaline conditions above 7.0.
Q Is this safe for pets?
When used as directed and watered into the soil, this fertilizer poses minimal risk to pets. However, Bone Meal and Fish Bone Meal can be attractive to dogs. We recommend:
- Working the fertilizer into the soil rather than leaving it on the surface
- Watering thoroughly after application
- Keeping pets away from treated areas until fertilizer is absorbed
- Storing bags in a secure location
Q How is this different from synthetic rose fertilizers?
| Factor | Organic (This Product) | Synthetic Fertilizers |
|---|---|---|
| Release Speed | Slow (4-6 weeks) | Fast (immediate) |
| Burn Risk | Very low | High if over-applied |
| Soil Biology | Feeds beneficial microbes | Can harm soil life |
| Long-term Soil Health | Builds organic matter | No improvement |
| Frequency | Every 4-6 weeks | Every 1-2 weeks |
Q What's the best pH for roses?
Roses thrive in slightly acidic soil with a pH of 6.0-6.5. This is the range where nutrients are most available for uptake.
Our organic formula naturally creates mild acidity as it breaks down, helping maintain optimal pH without additives.
